Alyce Platt is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor who presents her original music and artistic pursuits through the lens of the Indie-pop artist. In this last two years, without planning to, Alyce began work on what has now become her third album- Bain Douche – a low-fi, quirky, intimate collection of re-imagined gems connecting in a strange way to what we were all going through. Recorded daily on her iPhone in the echoes of her bathroom, they have now been expanded into an album featuring some of Melbourne’s finest musicians. At this show, Alyce will mix her originals with interpretations, the full array of what makes her music beautifully tick. Little Faiths is the songwriting pairing of Douglas Galbraith and Jon Baxter, fellow music obsessives whose creative output spiralled when they put their heads together. Over the last two years they have compiled a sonic scrapbook crammed full of ideas, messages and iPhone recordings that are now slinking out into the light of day. This voice and guitar version is where it starts – with the full band emerging soon.
